I do not recognize her
Until it is too late
By then she’s done her magic
To my lifeline, and my fate
She so gently puts the question
“What is it that you want?”
And now the seed she’s planted
In my mind begins its haunt
Till I can think of nothing else
Till I can not recall my name
As her question grows within me
I feel the terror of the sane
It is her eyes that have revealed her
Beneath the glamour she has cast
But by now it is no matter
For the spell has taken fast
Grasping for an answer
Held by a vision of her now
Ageless and eternal
The crescent shining on her brow
Then all at once I see her reason
All at once I see her plan
The enchantment works its magic:
I remember who I am.
